    That sucks!

I don't know what line of work you're in, but it seems that large employers have a hard time doing that.

My statement at the time was about a story I had heard -- an employer had a special surprise birthday party for an employee with co-workers and the employee ended up feeling uncomfortable and he ended up suing the employer.

I'm brain dead at moment - - saw some other posted you had for some of my questions- - will get back to you. Thanks! :) This post was edited by WelbyQuentin at August 28, 2022 7:13 PM MDT

Oh, wow! I'll bet there is more to the story than you read. Maybe some sort of personal history between them, or maybe the employee has some issues people didn't know about.

I'm just being me, always trying to give people the benefit of the doubt.

    Goodnight! Good to 'see' you!

I think there may have been, later, more explanation.
I think the employee had made known at some point he had social anxiety issues at times.

Good to see you, too.  :)

I'm a real big believer in Human Capital. If a employer makes their employees feel special and appreciated they will take pride in their work and the company will profit. Cheers!

The other co-workers should of filled a Class Action suit for the person being a party pooper. Cheers!

    Ha!  :)

I think after I had originally posted this question, I found out that the employee had shared with employers that he had social anxiety issues at times. Still, I don't know if I would have sued. But I'm not in that situation, I guess.  :)

    Thanks for answering, Nanoose!  :)
